Amrit Pyala Notebooks is a collection of writings from the road. As we film and translate Sufi and Bhakti poetry in Pakistan, as we walk into mandirs and dargaahs and think about the ways that mystic poets and their stories offer maps for our social and political choices in the present, we will share here our reflections as devotees, listeners, lovers, filmmakers, translators, and fools.
